It is with great pleasure that we invite you to CUSP 2012, the 13th conference in the CUSP series. The aim of CUSP has always been to embrace recent developments and to incorporate the current concepts into clinical practice. Over the years, CUSP has grown to be an interactive forum both for the sonologists and sonographers who perform the ultrasound scan and for the clinicians who utilize the scan reports to plan the management for their patients.
Unlike other radiological modalities, an effective ultrasound scan relies significantly on the precision with which an US examination is carried out. Image acquisition is thus the crucial step, followed by interpretation of the acquired image and both are heavily operator dependent. The accuracy of the acquisition and its interpretation would then be reflected in the final report, which in turn is the essential key to effective patient management.
With the concept of perfecting imaging, interpretation and diagnosis in mind, we have planned CUSP 2012 to align with the theme "Become Better". This would cover all clinical diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of Obstetric and General Ultrasound.
CUSP 2012 will be conducted over four days and will include four workshops in order to cover the large clinical areas of its applications. We have designed the workshops to incorporate day-to-day issues in Genetics and Perinatal Pathology, Multiple Pregnancies, Gynaecological Ultrasound and Ultrasound in Neonatology and Intensive Care. As always we have taken care to put together a faculty that will deliver what is new while reconfirming standards and guidelines and will give you ample time for interaction.
Looking forward to meet you @ CUSP 2012
